Google takes care of its dead U.S. employees more than some companies take care of their living employees.

If a Google worker passes away their surviving spouse or domestic partner will receive a check for 50% of their salary every year for 10 years.

In addition to the 10-year pay package, the kids of the deceased worker get a $1,000 monthly payment from the company until they reach the age of 19 (or 23 if the child is a full-time student.

This package is available to all Google workers regardless of how long or how short they've been working in the company.
